Western Sydney Airport Terminal Retail Shop Space Application Started

Duty free retailers, food & beverage operators and other travel services are being invited to register their interest to set up at Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport, which is on track to open in 2026.

Establishing the right retail mix for the terminal will be a crucial element in creating the best possible experience for passengers, visitors and staff at Sydney’s new airport, according to Western Sydney International Airport CEO Simon Hickey. He said:  “We want to ensure that the international and domestic passengers who travel through Western Sydney International Airport will have the quality of retail shopping they’d expect from a world class airport terminal.

The following retail categories that may be included in the final in terminal retail precinct plan:

  • Duty free stores
  • Foreign exchange
  • Travel essentials that may include books, magazines, technology, luggage, convenience items
  • Australian experience or souvenirs
  • Food and beverage that could be instore or kiosk
  • General retail that could include technology, kids experience, toys, apparel, accessories, confectionery
  • Services that include pharmacy, medical, florist, communications, including sim card and post office
